When producing this piece, I dug through our library of key art and found images of Patrick and SpongeBob wearing Baju Melayu: traditional Muslim outfits of Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries. I sent these to our design team with instructions about the rest of the image’s composition.

The piece went viral, with Muslim communities around the world celebrating it. News outlets in Malaysia especially were excited.
